SIGS Publications and NeXT Launch The OpenStep Developer
Quarterly Supplement Will Accompany Object Magazine and JOOP
NEW YORK - June 20, 1994 - SIGS Publications, publishers of Object Magazine and
the Journal of Object Oriented Programming (JOOP), in conjunction with NeXT
Computer, Inc., today introduced The OpenStep Developer, a 24-page quarterly
magazine supplement designed to help users and developers learn more about
NEXTSTEP and OpenStep. The premiere issue of The OpenStep Developer will
debut in October and be distributed to more than 80,000 readers worldwide in
conjunction with SIGS' flagship publications - Object Magazine and JOOP.
Marie Lenzi, Object Magazine's editor, will take on the additional
responsibility of editing The OpenStep Developer.
"The OpenStep Developer will address the needs of the emerging NeXT marketplace,

Focusing primarily on issues relevant to users and developers of NEXTSTEP and
OpenStep, the publication will also cover third-party developer applications
and products through articles written by industry experts, experienced users
and NeXT technical personnel. The magazine typically will include application
stories, technical tips, interviews and product reviews/news related to NeXT
and its third-party developers.
